Accommodation

Our house and gite are located in the tranquil hamlet of Le Sorbier, 3km from the pretty town of Montignac where there is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

There is no passing traffic except our one neighbour and the occasional tractor. The lane to our hamlet finishes just after our house and then becomes a track which leads into the woods where you can walk or cycle. The house has lots of original features such as a large fireplace and we have removed old render to expose some of the original stone walls which look amazing.

Both properties have been lovingly restored to a very high standard with attention to detail and high end fixtures and fittings. Original features such as the large stone fireplace in the kitchen/dining room, wooden beamed ceilings and stone walls have been restored giving the property an abundance of character. New wood floors have been laid throughout and there is a woodburning stove which provides heat and a cozy atmosphere in the winter.

The swimming pool is 12m x 4m and is heated with the exception of July and August when it isn’t needed.  There is extensive terracing around the pool with sun loungers and parasols making it a peaceful and very relaxing place to be.
